On-Site Emergency

Emergency Kits

Emergency kits are available at the premises of Altitude Maritime Training and Assessment Center Inc. The Safety Team maintains these kits, which contain first-aid supplies, flashlights, batteries, emergency contact lists, and other essential items to support preparedness and response.

Fire

Alarm Activation: In the event of a fire, activate the nearest fire alarm on the affected floor or the closest alarm station.

Evacuation: Use the designated emergency exit routes to evacuate the building. Follow the emergency signage and evacuation arrows on each floor.

Assembly Point: Proceed to the designated assembly point and remain there until further instructions. The Safety Team, coordinating with building security, will direct personnel to the appropriate assembly area and account for all evacuees.

Medical Emergency

Immediate Response: If trained and competent, provide appropriate first aid to the injured person. If not trained, notify the Safety Team or seek qualified medical assistance immediately.

Incident Reporting: Report the incident to the Safety Team as soon as possible to ensure medical assistance, documentation, and investigation begin promptly.

Natural Disasters (Earthquake, Flood)

Earthquake: During an earthquake, immediately Drop, Cover, and Hold On. Stay in a safe location until the shaking stops completely. When safe, evacuate the building using designated emergency exit routes. Follow the emergency signage and directional arrows on each floor.

Flood: If there is a risk of flooding, move immediately to higher ground or a safe designated area. Follow instructions from local emergency services and government authorities. Altitude Maritime Training and Assessment Center Inc. coordinates with local government agencies to ensure personnel safety during flood emergencies.

Emergency Response for Online Operations

Internet or Power Outage

Backup Plans: Online instructors shall maintain a backup device and an alternative internet connection to minimize disruptions during course delivery. Trainees shall be informed of alternative ways to access course materials, such as pre-recorded lectures, materials on other online platforms, or offline learning resources in the event of a system or connectivity failure.

Communication: In the event of a system outage or technical disruption, trainees shall be notified immediately via alternative communication channels, such as email or approved messaging applications, and provided with appropriate instructions on continuing or rescheduling the training.

Health Emergencies (Pandemic, Contagious Disease)

Online Transition: If an in-person training session is disrupted by a health emergency, it will move to full distance learning when practicable. If this is not feasible, remedial class schedules will be arranged and communicated to all affected trainees.

Communication: Trainees shall be promptly informed of any changes to course delivery, schedules, or training arrangements resulting from a health emergency through the institution's approved communication channels.

Notification System

In-Class Notifications: Announcements shall be posted in the Stream section of the Announcements (Forums) on the Altitude Maritime Training and Assessment Center Inc. Learning Management System (AMTACI LMS).

Email Notifications: Official notifications shall be sent to trainees by email by the Technical Support Staff.

Social Media Notifications: Important announcements shall also be published on the official Facebook and Instagram accounts of Altitude Maritime Training and Assessment Center, Inc., to ensure the timely dissemination of information.
